2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV receives $6,130 price cut

If you thought that pure-electric cars were still too expensive to make sensible alternatives to gas or diesel cars, Mitsubishi is about to deal another blow to that notion. The electric powered i-MiEV is coming back to the U.S. for the 2014 model year, and Mitsubishi has slashed $6,135 dollars off the price.

To start, there will be just two engines available – 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol in the C200 and 2.1 litre four-cylinder diesel in the C220 BlueTec – and a choice of six-speed manual and 7-speed auto boxes and three trim levels – SE, Sport and AMG Line. North East worst for road safety

THE NORTH EAST of England has the worst rates for deaths and serious injuries on England’s roads according to data from the Department for Transport. In 2012, the number of deaths and serious injuries in the North East increased by 8%, with an extra 65 incidents recorded compared to 854 in 2011. The South East of England, which suffered some of the worst statistics in 2011, is now the most improved region.
